Yesterday after breakfast we spontaneously decided to drive to Yarra Valley and try some wines. First we went to Yarra Valley Dairy.
There we sat down and ate cheese, drank wine and looked at the cows walking by. We also met Sven from Volvo in Gothenburg, he’s moved to Melbourne with his girlfriend and is also working at Ford. There’re sooo many swedes here!
After the cheese we went to a hugh vineyard that was so stiff, pretentious and boring that we didn’t even wanna try their wines. The views were spectacular though.
The vineyard after was the total opposite. A quite rustic home from the 50’s with a half bored lady telling about the area. Vi tried some wines and bought a nice shiraz.
The last place was Giant Steps/Innocent Bystander, two wineries that together has a restaurant/cafe and wine tastings. We tried some great moscato and then had a really nice pizza before we returned back to Melbourne.
